Hi there, I'm Jonas
Role: project manager. Parent. An expatriate based in Leipzig, Germany.
Some years ago, I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't part of our long-range plan. As with many expatriate moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, and new expectations. Everyday chores seemed more complex than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Wexra Notiv Mela
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site stands for the following:
- Practical insights gained from life in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- Not a resource from tourism authorities
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Not just another generic travel blog
What Lies Ahead
Our time in Germany continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Leipzig or anywhere in Germany, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Jonas
